The family tradition at The CORE Companies began in 1978. David Neale - founder, president, visionary, and a proud California immigrant - started his accomplished career building homes in San Jose's growing community. Neale started a tradition that has lasted three decades in assisting first-time homeowners in securing affordable places to work, live, play and enjoy their growing families in an urban setting.

In 1989, Neale's drive for excellence, and dedication for high standards of design and quality construction, enabled CORE to flourish in the San Jose area. Ten years later, Chris Neale joined his father to continue the strong heritage of excellence in home building. The quality homes and affordable apartments that CORE has designed and built have received the high stamp of approval from many satisfied homeowners and renters. With many options to choose from, each customer selected a CORE home as the place to raise their family because of CORE's experience, appreciation for quality, and commitment to its customers.
